Welcome to the YMCA Youth & Government program!

Youth & Government was created to enhance the development of the American democratic system by enabling young people to prepare for moral and political leadership through experiential learning. The purpose of the Youth & Government program is to inspire young people to develop integrity and social responsibility as they deliberate issues faced as a state and to accept some responsibility for themselves as they help to solve these issues.

In Youth & Government, you will tackle issues important to your neighborhoods. This year, our through our virtual program, you will play the role of a state legislator—and show the state what things would be like if you were in charge
